Abstract: Die kräftige Erholung der Weltwirtschaft seit 1985 dürfte sich auch in der ersten Hälfte der neunziger Jahre fortsetzen. Bei leicht sinkendem Dollarkurs, relativ niedrigen Dollarzinsen und mäßiger Weltinflation wird der Welthandel bis 1994 real um etwa 6½% pro Jahr wachsen. Für die Industrieländer erwartet das WIFO ein jährliches Wirtschaftswachstum von 3%. Im Gegensatz zu den achtziger Jahren dürfte die Wirtschaft der europäischen Industrieländer rascher expandieren als die der USA.
