Abstract: Die Wirtschaftsaktivitäten büßten in den osteuropäischen Ländern gegen Ende 2001 viel von ihrer Dynamik ein. Eine Krise trat bisher nicht ein, und ein neuerlicher Aufschwung – im Gleichklang mit den westlichen Industriestaaten – zeichnet sich ab. Österreichs Handel mit Osteuropa expandiert und erwirtschaftet Überschüsse.
