WIFO Monatsberichte (monthly reports), 2024, vol. 97, issue 5, 251-258

Abstract: Laut WIFO-Schnellschätzung stieg die österreichische Wirtschaftsleistung im I. Quartal 2024 um lediglich 0,2% gegenüber dem Vorquartal. Damit hat sich die Konjunktur nach der Stagnation des BIP im IV. Quartal 2023 kaum verbessert. Die Rezession in der Industrie und im Bauwesen hielt weiter an, nur die Marktdienstleistungen expandierten. Für das II. Quartal deuten Vorlaufindikatoren auf eine Fortsetzung der zaghaften Erholung hin.
