Abstract:
With price inflation on the increase since the autumn of 2007, competition policy has re-emerged as a subject of interest in Austria for both economic-policy makers and the public at large. In this context, possibilities may arise for more stringent enforcement of competition law as well as the implementation of previously neglected reforms of competition policy and antitrust law, which will ultimately have a positive impact on the competitiveness and attractiveness of Austria as a location for business and industry.
