59th Euroconstruct Conference: The Prospects for the European Construction Market 2005-2007. Country Reports
N. N.
in WIFO Studies from WIFO
Abstract:
There is a marked difference in the outlook for construction output in eastern and western Europe: after growing at an unspectacular rate of 1 percent in 2002 and 1.9 percent in 2003, Eastern Europe gained 6.6 percent in 2004, compared with a subdued 1.9 percent in Western Europe. The rapid growth in Eastern Europe will continue into 2007 because of the high attractiveness for foreign investors (reduced bureaucracy and favourable trading conditions with other Euro countries after entering the Monetary Union).
