Abstract: The Euroconstruct network expects a slight growth in the European construction industry between 1.5 and 2 percent in 2006-2008. Highest growth is forecast for the new EU-member states and in Spain. The civil engineering market is the driving force in the European construction industry, while new residential building is stagnating.
