in WIFO Studies from WIFO
Abstract:
The Summary Report highlights the key results of the 63rd Euroconstruct Conference held in Prague in June 2007. In addition to analysing construction trends at country and sector levels, it includes papers by international experts on the increasing importance of lifecycle aspects to the construction industry, a special subject of the conference. Altogether, the construction industry enjoyed excellent growth throughout the 19 Euroconstruct countries in 2006, powered by a generally good economic situation (+3.7 percent). For the forecast period of 2007–2007, experts expect growth to slow down to 2.4 percent in 2007, 1.8 percent in 2008 and 2 percent in 2009.
