73rd Euroconstruct Conference: European Sovereign Debt Crisis Causes Euroconstruct to Downgrade its Construction Forecasts – Is a North-South Divide Appearing? (Country Report)

in WIFO Studies from WIFO
Abstract:
The construction outlook for the 19 Euroconstruct countries is less favourable than expected last year. Overall construction output is predicted to decline by 2.1 percent in the Euroconstruct area in 2012. Only moderate growth – mainly in northern and central European countries – is expected throughout the forecast period. The Euroconstruct Country Report provides detailed information on the construction market development and its fundamentals in the 19 Euroconstruct member countries until 2014. The forecasts and analyses are presented on the country level and are based on a comparable harmonised dataset for the major construction sectors and indicators. The macroeconomic framework is also included. • With contributions by Yngve Abrahamsen, Anders Bjerre, Jan Blahoňovský, Dirk Drechsel, Ludwig Dorffmeister, Josep Ramon Fontana, Anna Gáspár, James Hastings, Bengt Henricson, Verity Howell, Annette Hughes, Paul Johnson, Andrea Kunnert, Erkki Lehtinen, Vladimir Lenko, Jean-Pierre Liebaert, Bárbara Martins, Barbora Pospíšilová, Marjolein van der Schaaf, Markku Riihimäki, Hans Schellevis, Radislav Semenov, Kjell Senneset, Ondřej Šimáček, Mariusz Sochacki, Antonella Stemperini, Michel Vivinis, Michael Weingärtler
