Profitability of Title Insurance Companies

Edwin H. Duett and Robert A. Hershbarger

Journal of Insurance Issues, 1992, vol. 15, issue 1, 13-30

Abstract: The research in this paper examines the profitability of title insurance companies in relationship to property/casualty, life/health insurance and non-insurance firms. A series of four profitability measures which have previously been tested in prior literature have been used to determine if title insurance companies are more or less profitable than the other types of insurance companies and non-insurance firms.
