Abstract: We discuss several markers of the probability densities of response times — specifically those with power-law tails — that allow us to gain insights into neurophysiology of cognition. We argue that combining individual subjects’ data into a single set for a distribution-function analysis allows for a better comparison of a group of interest to a control group. We illustrate our findings using time response trials with dyslexic children.
