Abstract:
Inculcation of innovation in organizations and the strategies to assess, monitor and promote the same are prevalent. However, individual innovation assessment and a methodology to improve individual innovation are still in their infancy. This paper stresses the importance of individual innovation for the progress of individual and therefore, for the organization and the country. This paper introduces an assessment metric, individual innovation index(I3), to calibrate innovation of an individual. An intervention mechanism for transforming non-performers into performers is elucidated and validated with case studies pertaining to students in the context of education.
