Abstract:
Aim: Demand for composite talents (CTs) with interdisciplinary knowledge, practical implementation ability, critical thinking and an innovative spirit is on the rise alongside the expansion of the global economy, the spread of information, the convergence of science and technology and the proliferation of human society. Therefore, developing well-rounded individuals who can contribute to society’s forward progress is a hot topic in many parts of the world. There has been a rise in demand for engineers due to China’s communal economy and educational system which are developing quickly. Quality, rather than quantity, is becoming a more important factor in the war for talent. Method: In light of the changes in the market’s demand for the engineering of civil, it is crucial that colleges and universities with engineering programmes update the training model of CTs with multi-co-education for college students based on the interpretive structural modelling (ISM) approach to intelligent manufacturing and emerging digital technologies (ISM+ DT). MICMAC analysis helped to verify the suggested framework even further. Result: This study shows that the connection between institutional strength, student quality and management is impacted by the extent to which institutions employ CTs with multi-co-education. The study results show that the innovation level and performance of accuracy are 96% and 90%, respectively. Conclusion: This study primarily innovates in the areas of repositioning the training aim of compound talents, reconstructing the curriculum system, innovating the teaching method, enhancing college-enterprise joint training and enhancing the development of “multi-co-education†faculty. This research used an ISM method to try to evaluate the factors that affect digital learning.
