Abstract:
AbstractThe paper addresses the issue of road vehicle pollution in the United Kingdom and the policy response to the problem. The issues are wide ranging, the focus here is on solutions relating to individual vehicles and their emissions where improvements may be achieved without action in related areas. Consideration is given to policy instruments that might bring about technological or behavioural change.
