Abstract:
Sandra and I have long had an interest in Greece. Sandra’s Greek connection started with her 1964 year at the Centre of Economic Planning and Research. Her undergraduate and later PhD advisor, Roy Radner was involved with Andreas Papandreou, head of the centre, from an important family (at the time Sandra was there his father was prime minister, later he became prime minister as did his son). Through this connection, Sandra had a fellowship at the centre for academic year 1964/1965 following graduation from Berkeley with honors in Economics.
