Abstract:
Wanhua Chemical Group, the largest MDI producer in the world, was developing rapidly for over a decade, but without its internal operation improving correspondingly. To launch an organizational transformation and improve its business practices, the company implemented ERP systems in 2008. To unleash the potential of using the system, the company designed three managerial approaches to cross-pollinate the ideas and knowledge dispersed across different business functionalities. This case reports how the company exercised these managerial approaches for achieving ERP-based organizational transformation.
