Abstract:
As expeditions become frequented trips, exploration takes on new forms and meaning beyond the initial journey. Scientists and researchers go on these routes to study flora and fauna, among many other things that can be new sources of knowledge. Businesses are set up in outposts and people settle in areas that were once unknown. Reservoirs are built in these settlements to support activities like agriculture.
