Community-based enterprise as an instrument for sustainable development?

Abstract: Along with the increasing efforts to create a sustainable world, community-based enterprise (CBE) has been increasingly acknowledged as a potential solution. However, despite the increasing implementation of CBE, knowledge about the organizational architecture and performance is still lacking. The paper presents a brief overview of how CBE can be assessed from the perspective of organizational theory.
