Abstract:
This working paper describes the process of European Higher Education Integration from the end of the 90s towards 2010, also known as the Bologna-Process. This integration movement is important and unique as it encompasses up to today 43 countries in Europe and inclines all higher education institutions to deep changes in their teaching and organisation structures. Therefore this in-depth description of the political background, motivations and implications of this process may help all practitioners in higher education to improve their understanding and therefore their work in higher education management.
