Abstract: Das Wirtschaftswachstum bleibt ein wichtiger Indikator der Gesellschafts- und Beschäftigungsentwicklung. Neben der technologischen Entwicklung wird das Wirtschaftswachstum durch die internationalen Trends, die Entwicklung und Nutzung des Arbeitskräftepotenzials und die wirtschaftspolitische Steuerung bein- flusst. Zunehmende Bedeutung kommt der anhaltenden Umweltproblematik zu, sowohl als Risikofaktor wie auch als Modernisierungspotenzial.
