Abstract:
Language attitude has been a focus of sociolinguistics in recent years. The investigation of language attitude is beneficial to the identity of group members and the maintenance of group relations. Besides, it provides guidelines for further protecting language diversity. Conducting a survey of the current situation of Chongqing elementary school students’ language attitudes toward Chongqing dialect from the theoretical perspective of Eco linguistics, this paper analyzes the influencing factors in depth from the three dimensions, namely, family background, school environment and language use, in order to reveal the ecology of Chongqing dialect and enhance Chongqing people’s awareness of dialect heritage.
