Multiregional Models of General Equilibrium: Framework and Applications

Abstract: Computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelshelp to assess various aspects of economic policy. Multiregional CGE framework allowsanalyzing challenging issues of trade, tax and environmental policies, such as entering international trade organizations, introduction or reduction of trade barriers, tax reforms, pension reforms or emissions reduction. This paper offers a detailed discussion of the tools for CGE modelling as well as of major multiregional CGE models.
