Abstract: The article provides an overview of the Russian Scientific and practical conference “Childhood in modern Russia: problems, politics, prospects†, organized by the North-West Institute of Management of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and held on May 31, 2024. Analysis of materials and reports of conference speakers built on a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodology. Revealing quantitative data from content analysis made it possible to detect the child’s status in modern object-subject relations. Interpretation of verbal information allows characterize the problems of children, as well as determine the vectors of the main areas of research and practical work with children to achieve happy and prosperous childhood.
