Abstract: The Russian patriotism, having historical roots, possesses the specifics. In modern conditions education of patriotic qualities at student’s youth is of particular importance. Polling techniques allowed to reveal a condition of spiritual and patriotic values, civil identity at students of NWIM. The conducted sociological researches allowed to formulate the recommendations concerning improvement of spiritual and patriotic education.
