Abstract: In the methods of economic valuation of natural resources are classified into economic and sociological. One important feature of economic evaluation is considering the totality of traditional natural resources and the assimilative capacity of the environment as a special kind of natural resources. The author notebi the following directions for use of economic evaluation in the national economy: a fundamental change in taxation principles; improvement of ecological, economic and resource-saving indicators at the macro- and microeconomic levels; the development of a national low-carbon development strategy.
