Abstract: Recent developments in communication and internet technologies have broader effects on supply chain activities. These developments made it mandatory to adopt technological changes and innovations in our existing understanding of electronic commerce activities. This study aims to develop a critical approach to the e-commerce ecosystem with fundamental concepts, business models, and security issues. This paper suggests companies ways of coping with adopting e-commerce activities, business models, and security issues.
