Asian Agricultural Research, 2011, vol. 03, issue 11, 5

Abstract: Based on the survey data of fixed rural observation points in China, this paper researches the behaviour of rural households in the process of industrialization. It analyses the forcing of industrialization process on non-agricultural-transformation behaviour of rural households and motive in detail. The results show that with the development of industrialization, the rational farmers allocate resources according to the goal of income maximization and the behaviour of rural households differentiates inchmeal. The forcing of industrialization on behaviour of rural households mainly comprises labour distribution of rural households, land inputs of rural households and employment of rural labour forces; the factors of forcing of industrialization on non-agricultural-transformation behaviour of rural households are largely reflected in pull and push.
