Írország - ahol a mezőgazdaságról jót hallani

Abstract: EU-s tagként egyre gyarapodnak ismereteink a tagországok mezőgazdaságáról, azok gondjairól. Egyáltalán nem olyan rózsás a kép, ahogyan korábban kívülállóként - elismeréssel vegyes irigykedéssel - gondoltuk. Korábban „példaképnek” Belgium, de főleg Hollandia számított. Újabban viszont egyre inkább figyelemre méltó a szép eredményeket felmutató ír mezőgazdaság, melyet érdemes alaposabban szemügyre vennünk. Talán érdekli a szakavatott olvasókat a fejlett ír mezőgazdaság bemutatása ilyen formában is, ha nem is tesszük mellé a magyar vonatkozásokat. -------------- As a member of the EU, our knowledge of the agriculture of member states and their problems is becoming increasingly extensive. The scenery is not at all as rosy as we have considered it as outsiders with admiration mixed with envy. Earlier Belgium and Holland served an example to follow. Lately the neat achievements of Irish agriculture are becoming increasingly noteworthy and deserve to be closely looked at. The well-informed reader may perhaps be interested in a description of the well-developed Irish agriculture even if the relevance to Hungarian farming is not appended.
