Abstract: A magyar agrárágazat és a vidék egésze eléggé leromlott állapotba került az uniós csatlakozás időpontjára. A rendszerváltással egy működő modell széttört, de helyette nem jött létre egy olyan rendszer, amely működőképes lenne. Egy új modell kialakítása mindenekelőtt fejlesztési forrásokat igényel, de nemcsak azt, hanem a különböző tényezőknek olyan összehangolt rendszerét, amely az erőforrások felhasználásának hatékonyságát biztosítani tudja. ------------------ By the time of the entry of Hungary into the European Union her agriculture has become rather debased. As a matter of fact, this is true for the countryside as a whole. The change of regime resulted in the cessation of a model that had worked, and no new system capable of functioning has come into being instead. First of all, the creation of such a model requires developmental resources, but it necessitates also such a concerted system of diverse factors as may ensure their efficient utilisation.
