Bánffi Soda Limited Partnership

Imola Kiserdi-Pallo and Gregory A. Baker

International Food and Agribusiness Management Review, 2010, vol. 13, issue 4, 11

Abstract: The Bánffi Soda Limited Partnership (Bánffi) case describes a small, family-owned Hungarian soda water producer. The company faces several challenges, including declining industry sales, changing market structure, and increasingly popular substitute products. The case challenges students to work with the limited company, market, and industry information that is typically available to small businesses. Students are asked to summarize the competitive situation for the company and develop and analyze several alternatives to help the company improve profitability.
