Abstract: An attempt has been made to analyse the evaluation of FPO in the ollakur block of Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu. A sample of 60 famers who were member of FPOs and benefited to the scheme in ollakur block was selected at random. The required primary data were collected and analysed using price spread analysis, response priority index and Garrett's ranking technique. The results showed that the second channel was identified as an effcient channel because it would be profitable to the FPO farmers and reasonable to the consumers. The FPO farmers were receiving market information through neighboring farmers. The response priority index was constructed and utmost priority was ploughing (0.47). The FPO farmers are majorly participated in the activities of co operative societies. The price awareness and arrange a loan were most important reason for farmers prefer the FPO. Hence, the study concluded that the producers who are not selling their produce through farmer Producer Company will also be benefitted by increasing the number of members and extending their area of operation.
