Rural Economy in Poland on a Timeline

Joseph Stanislaw Zegar

Village and Agriculture (Wieś i Rolnictwo), 2021, vol. 189, issue 4

Abstract: The aim of the article is to present suppositions regarding the future of the rural economy in Poland, the development of which is to lead to an increase in the standard of living and to the sustainable development of rural areas. The rural economy shaped by human, physical and ecological capital factors is presented on a time axis. These factors are determined primarily by the market and politics. The suppositions were formulated on the basis of theoretical analysis based on statistical data and research results available in the literature. The basic conclusion is that the development trajectory of the rural economy will split into many possible paths in the future.
