Agroalimentaria Journal - Revista Agroalimentaria, 2026, vol. 32, issue 62
Abstract:
In this special section (Part I), included in Issue No. 62 of the Agroalimentaria journal, readers will find seven original articles, six of which were first presented at the International Academic Seminar “Sustainable Food Systems: Transformations and Challenges in the Contemporary World and in Venezuela.” These contributions examine, from a transdisciplinary perspective, a range of topics that illuminate the ongoing transformations of food systems and the economic, technological, political, cultural, and environmental conditions shaping development pathways aimed at strengthening the population’s food and nutritional security. The section also features an additional original article submitted independently to the editorial process by two professors and researchers from the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB, Venezuela), whose relevance and thematic complementarity justified its inclusion.
