Impact of Digital Currencies in the Global Economy

Abstract: The main objective of the paper is to present the history and performance of digital currencies. The paper is discussed in three sections. In the first section, the history and definition of digital currency are presented, followed by a brief review of literature. In the third section, the different types of digital currency that have come into vogue are outlined. The main conclusion is that digital currencies are becoming popular in recent times in different countries and have a bright future.
