Gábor Szabó, Zoltán Bakucs () and Imre Fertő

Society and Economy, 2008, vol. 30, issue 1, 111-127

Abstract: The study examines the Mórakert Purchasing and Service Co-operative, in Mórahalom, Hungary. The co-operative is active in the fruit and vegetable sector and it was the first officially acknowledged Producers’ Organisation (PO) in the country. It works as a successful co-operative in terms of increasing annual turnover and membership thus being a good example for solving various co-ordination issues in Hungarian horticultural sector within an evolving supply chain.
