Abstract:
The lecture, presented at the conference celebrating the 60 th anniversary of Corvinus University of Budapest discusses some notable points in the history of the Corvinus, or “Közgáz”, according to the frequently used Hungarian nickname. The university has been a center of progress during the socialist regime before 1989, which according to the article, is seen in the launch, slow extension, and results of corporate research, and in the gradual, pioneering, and mostly successful reforming of the educational structure, content, and methodology, which followed fittingly but to some extent also preceded the changes.
