Abstract:
This article describes the main changes suffered by the textile industrial complex in the 1990’s and the options for growth it has today. After a brief description of the complex, Section 3 will show how the changes in the internal and external markets during the 1990’s affected job creation. Section 3 will describe the technological tendencies and their impacts on training in the complex. Section 4 will conclude the paper, discussing some alternatives to develop the complex.
