Record linkage systems. Canada vs the United States

Abstract: Canada is well ahead of the United States in linking national data systems to monitor health and to facilitate large-scale epidemiologic studies of health hazards. The author describes current efforts in the United States to achieve legislation for the organization of record linkage systems.
