Female laundry and dry cleaning workers in Wisconsin: A mortality analysis

Abstract: The mortality patterns of 671 female laundry and dry cleaning workers for the period 1963-1977 were analyzed, using Wisconsin death certificate data. Results fail to show an overall increase in malignant neoplasms, but elevated risk was found for cancers of the kidney and genitals (unspecified), along with a smaller excess of bladder and skin cancer and lymphosarcoma.
