Prevalence of sickle cell trait and HbC-trait in Blacks from low socioeconomic conditions

Abstract:
In the present investigation the authors did not observe age or sex differentials in the prevalence of sickle cell or HbC-traits in Black males or females of low socioeconomics status. When the data were compared to those of others, the socioeconomic found no evidence for a socioeconomic differential in the prevalence of these traits.
