TOOLS AND METHODS TO PREVENT THE RISK OF BANKRUPTCY OF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES

Gabriela Bilevsky

Internal Auditing & Risk Management, 2013, vol. 31, issue 1, 79-88

Abstract: We may appreciate, according to the data for 2008, that the negative impact caused directly by the financial crisis for the insurance industry in Romania has been quite limited until now, consisting mostly in the reduction of the clients’ trust, especially of those clients with life insurances.. The global financial crisis led to a significant public distrust in the financial institutions, affecting to a large extent the main insurance companies. Therefore, it is necessary to review the set of the prevention and safety measures imposed by the Insurance Supervision Committee.
