Strategy Implementation Model for Tehran Province Water and Wastewater Company (in Persian)

Abstract: Successful implementation of strategies provides an important competitive advantage for the organization. Practical experience and research show that strategy implementation has great influence on the performance and effectiveness of organizations and is a critical factor for success of a business or an organization. Therefore, without a systematic and detailed approach to the implementation, strategic goals cannot be achieved. Using the ideas of experts and identifying strategy execution factors in Tehran Province Water and Wastewater Company, this study tries to develop a model for implementing the company’s strategies. Regarding the results, goals and type of data, this research is developmental, descriptive-explanatory and qualitative respectively. The strategy of the research was based on Grounded Theory. The analysis of the results obtained from the open, axial and selective coding steps show that the main category of organizational elements alignment consisting of three sub-categories of alignment, i.e., structural-behavioral (inter-rganizational contextual factors), functional (process factors), and environmental (external contextual factors), along with the main operational programs category (content factors) are identified as the elements of implementing strategy. Based on the experts’ opinion regarding the relations among categories, a model appropriate to the implementation of strategy in Tehran Province Water and Wastewater Company is presented.
