Abstract: The article examines the features of the construction of buildings on subsiding soils in the Republic of Moldova. Based on the conducted fi eld and laboratory studies, a technical solution is proposed to eliminate subsidence. A significant improvement in the physical-mechanical characteristics of the soils makes it possible to reduce the estimated seismicity of the construction site and reduce the cost of erection of the object.
