Abstract: At the present stage, a signifi cant number of failures are observed in the power distribution systems due to various random infl uencing factors. Ensuring the uninterrupted power supply to consumers is a rather acute problem for the national power industry. To improve the reliability of power supply to consumers, it is absolutely necessary to know the reasons for the failure of the installed equipment and its characteristics for the purpose of technical justifi cation and planning of maintenance services. This article is dedicated to methods for determining the factors aff ecting the process of functioning of distribution systems and creating opportunities to ensure the uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
