Social Dialogue – Problems and Solutions

Evlampie Donos

Intellectus, 2024, issue 1, 126-136

Abstract: The essence of social dialogue at the current stage represents an important factor in mitigating the crisis that the Republic of Moldova is going through. The decrease in salary income, the increase in the share of people exposed to poverty, and marginalization are problems of great gravity for society. Under these conditions, measures are required to revive the institution of social dialogue. The lack of a clear concept regarding the structuring of social dialogue norms creates difficulties in the proper functioning of this institution. In the reference material, the author analyzes some aspects regarding the institution of social dialogue in the Republic of Moldova through the prism of compliance of the legal framework in force with the norms of the International Labor Organization, the Council of Europe and the European Union. The paper contains concrete proposals for the modification of some norms related to social dialogue.
