Abstract:
The study examines the impact of the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001, in the context of international economic integration, underlining the importance of the Republic of Moldova’s implementation of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, aimed at harmonizing and strengthening the protection of intellectual property as an essential part of the commitments undertaken. The analysis also explores the influence of the objectives of European integration on fundamnental issues such as the regime of exhaustion of intellectual property rights, the protection of geographical indications, patents and undisclosed information, emphasizing the profound economic and social implications generated by these legislative adjustments.
