Abstract:
Conceived as part of the World Design Capital 2012, held in Helsinki, the University of Helsinki opened a pop-up science store, Think Corner, in the city centre. The goal was to showcase university research projects in an informal way and in an inviting space where people can experience science, meet researchers and learn more about our researchers’ work – and even contribute to the research process. Since 2012, Think Corner has piloted and developed new formats and concepts in three different locations. In September 2017, it will finally get a permanent space to operate and put all the lessons its team have learned to use.
