Abstract: This paper focuses on inspired leadership from women philanthropists in an Annual Giving context by covering a case study on a volunteer-led fundraising initiative that raised CAD$130,000 in 12 months from female donors. It shows how McGill University supported the volunteers and highlights the roles of the Annual Giving, Alumni Engagement, Communications and Major Giving teams. This paper also covers some important lessons learnt and explores how such initiatives have been successful in other Advancement teams of all sizes.
