Abstract:
The work in computer‐assisted instruction conducted at Stanford is reviewed in the context of developmental stages through which the CAI programs have passed, and the next step in the evolution of these programs is discussed. Areas that might be well suited to computer‐assisted instruction also are mentioned, and systems now moving in these directions are described. Our experiences in teacher training and coordinating computer‐assisted instruction with classroom instruction are reviewed.
