Abstract:
The establishment of a numerical data system intends to provide science and technology with reliable information on the properties of substances and materials and this causes a variety of new problems. The most urgent of these is the problem of developing basic methodological principles underlying the processes of data collection, evaluation, recommendation and dissemination.
