Scientific and technological information systems in the Soviet Union

Abstract:
The effective use of scientific and technological information is today's society is of paramount importance and has, therefore, become a subject which is receiving worldwide attention. Not much is known at present about the organization and structure of the Soviet Unions' information systems. However, more and more, interest by the United States government inthe Soviets' activities in the area is evident. It is the purpose of the communication to bojectively review and summarise the present state‐of‐the‐art of science and technological information systems within the Soviet Union.
